How this works
In an all-must-win slip on pick'em and fantasy apps, every pick has to win for the payout. If a 2-pick slip pays 3x, each pick needs to win more than (1 ÷ 3)1/2 = 57.7% of the time to break even. A pick's edge is its fair chance minus that break-even, in percentage points.
The fair chance is the probability you enter, or comes from odds: with both sides' odds the market's margin is taken out; with one side it is still included, so the chance is a little too high. The slip's win chance multiplies the picks together, which treats them as independent: picks from the same game are linked, so the result can't be trusted for them. Payout tables vary by app and change over time.
